my family all dressed in the same colors. my daddy got really excited and yelled at a screen. this scared me at first but then my mama explained that he was happy that his favorite football team was winning. i don't really even care about football (neither does mama) but we love daddy and like to see him happy.
people kept raising my arms and yelling "go packers!" and "touchdown!" i don't have a clue why they were doing that so... i just smiled.
daddy bought mama this jersey because he wants her to like football and he liked seeing her wear his team colors. mama just said she liked #52 because he has big muscles like daddy and then she winked...
Mama didn't win the soup competition but she did raise $23 to help people in need, plus her soup was completely finished off...which means it must have been good...
here is her recipe for anyone who wants to try and make it...
1 box Uncle Ben's Wild Rice
1 can cream of potato soup
2-3 cooked chicken breasts (cut in chunks)
1/2 cup Velveeta Cheese
1/2 cup half and half
2-4 cups milk
5 slices of bacon (cooked and crumbled)
Cook the rice according to the box. Add the rest of the ingredients to the rice. Simmer. Mama says you can add as much milk as you need if the soup gets too thick. She also doubled the recipe.
have a "soup"er day! ;)
